Economic Profile
Panjin Municipality is approved as a city under provincial jurisdiction in June, 1984, with an area of 3,959 Km2 and a population of 1.18 million. It is one of the opening cities in circum-BoHai area. By 1994, GDP had ranked in the fourth place and general industrial production has been placed in the third in Liaoning Province. The land is flat with pleasant climate and convenient traffic leading to all directions.
